Discount Golf Cart Batteries Should I go for a gas powered or electric golf cart? An electric car I know is relatively easier to maintain than a gas cart but I do have to change the batteries every few years and that would cost me around $500 or so every time. My officemate told me that over a period of time, the effort and cost maintaining a gas or an electric driven cab works out pretty much the same.
